People Watching

So, do you ever go to the mall and watch what kind of people pass by you? Well, this past weekend, I did. I swear, some people just should not be allowed to reproduce! LOL

After my kids got their picture taken with Santa, it was time for me to feed the baby. As I was sitting in the chair waiting for her to finish, I people watched.
It was around 3:00 p.m. We arrived at the mall probably around 11 a.m.
I found it funny that I was seeing sooo many STRANGE people! I knew I didnt recall seeing that many strange looking people in the morning when I got to the mall. So I decided- it must be those people who sleep in and then they come out of the woodwork at night! LOL

This is sounding so mean, but I am really not trying to be mean. I saw people who you couldnt tell if they were a man or women. And I can assure you, these people did not look gay- they just looked like they were trying to get some attention- or maybe thats just their style. And you know, everyone is entitled to their style, but I am also entitled to my opinions of them. My opinion- STRANGE.

Can't tell you how many women I saw that looked like they were "man hunting". You know what I mean huh?!?!
I also overheard a conversation of a little boy, and I mean probably 8 years old, ask his mom "hey mom, don't forget, I want to go to spencer's" For real?? 8 years old?? should he be going to spencers?? Hmmmm, to each his own I guess!!

Then I saw 3 guys walk into a store, looking incredibly suspicious to me. One guy had a hood over his head carrying a booksack, and the other 2, well no words needed.
I watched them go into the store in different directions, looking really sly. They came out without buying anything after about 10 min. Now, I did not see them steal anything, nor can I even assume that they did (or didn't). However, they way they dressed and carried themselves, IMO, made them stick out. So my recommendation, if your going to shoplift (and I think that is def. WRONG) then your bound to get caught looking like that. And if your not a shoplifter, then I suggest you dress differently or your going to get followed/accused of it one day just because of the attention you draw to yourself!
AND GET RID OF THE LARGE MAN PURSE YOU ARE CARRYING!!

Saw some guys but cracks that I could have done without as well. Oh, and the best was the dirty baby diaper laying on the ground on my way to Dillards. Seriously people??? The trash can was 2 ft. away. This is why I call these people "strange".

This is why I shouldn't people watch. Gets me angry at stupid people.

On the flip side, It WAS a great day!!! Kids were WONDERFUL. Here is their picture with Santa.

Night!

pee in my bed, pee on my floor, poop down my leg and my chair!

Well, Its been a day full or URINE (oh and a bonus- poop on my chair!) What can I say! It must have been in my cards for today. When I woke up this morning and went to change Caroline Kate, she peed on me, right after I got dressed and 5 min. before I needed to be out the door to get my son to his school. YEP! Then later in the day, as the kids were playing and I was feeding Caroline Joseph decided he was going to pee right on the floor behind my chair. THEN he decided he would PLAY in it!!! What fun right!!! It was for him! Poor mommy couldn't get to a towel fast enough because I had velcro baby attached to me- ha!
Hold on, it gets better! hehe. After my husband and I played outside with the kids, we came inside to eat. While eating Caroline decides it was time to do her business, in a full diaper (my fault). I hadn't changed her since I was about to bathe her.
I paid for that mistake! She leaked, all down my leg, and my chair! Yucky!! It was ALL over! My appetite was gone now (has this happened to you???)

So at this point, I am really excited to do nothing else but to go crawl in a hot bath and relax after cleaning up Caroline. I run my mostly HOT water and then hand the baby over to husband so I can have some ME time and guess what? Water is COLD. WHAT??? So not what I was expecting! Bad night for a COLD bath! No relaxing yet mom! hehe

Then after my COLD shower instead, I went to lay down and cozy up with my little baby girl in my bed and guess what? I smell PEE. Figure it was either Caroline, who I laid on a towel to change her diaper in the night and she snuck a pee on my sheets that I failed to noticed, or it was my son who still sleeps in our bed at 3 years old. You would have thought I would have noticed this last night at some point but NOPE. Why didn't I notice? Did not notice because I didn't go to bed till 2 a.m. I decided last night at 10:00 at night that I wanted to rearrange my house (well part of it). Have you ever done this??? DONT! I paid for that FUN today! LOL
Now, I get to sleep in a pee infested bed tonight- YAY!

I'd have to say though, I heard some sad news today where someone lost their son. Broke my heart. Please say a prayer for the family if you have a moment- we all know how difficult this must although I cannot imagine and I hope to never have to.
So tonight I am going to bed counting my blessings and thanking God that I get to sleep in pee because after all that means that my children are here, safe and healthy with us!

Bring on the pee kids, Mommy loves you!

Sometimes a girl just needs a REAL fireplace

Ok, so today was one word- EXHAUSTING!
My girls got the opportunity to model for a local kids clothing store for the Humane Society and me and my mom went and watched. It was themed Animals in Wonderland. The people who put this on did a WONDERFUL job. The theme was great and the dogs were soo cute! In fact- there was a Saint Bernard who I really wanted to take home with us. She was just begging me to come live with our family! My kids would have loved her!! I am trying to soften my husband up now, but he seems to think it would be torture to have that pet live here in the hot sun. I tried to tell him whether we take her or not she is STILL living in Texas! One of my girls go to walk a dog with her down the runway too- and she asked me if we could take the dog home. I wish we could have for her ! ;( maybe one day!
I had to bribe my girls because they were so scared that people would laugh at them. LAUGH! seriously girls!! LOL
So, they did great for their first time and I bought them each a pillow pet (they have been begging for these) so I caved and got them as a treat for behaving so well backstage. I am always so impressed at how well my girls behave around others. I just wish they would get along at home and not fight! LOL Its so funny, they definitely have a love/hate relationship. They argue constantly but when I tell them to just take a break and play separately for a while, they look at me like I am a crazy person! "Why mom, why would you punish me from my sister" LOL.

Well, As soon as we got home and walked in the door, the no good, very bad evening set in. When the girls started fighting, I suggested the "play separately" idea for the billionth time (looked at like crazy again) and then the fighting continued. I tried. It was obvious that they were all (baby Caroline and Joseph too) over tired and I was over stressed. Nothing was going to work but food and bed!
My frappi that I got on the way home was just not enough to cure my fatigue and go up against all these kiddos!
They wore me out! my eyeballs are/were falling out (not literally-lol).
I really was wishing for either a movie night with my mom or a date night with my husband but NOPE, didnt happen. Oh the joys of children! My parents have been here for a week and unfortunately we just never got to get away. Me and my mom did plan a trip to New York during fashion week though in about 10 years---LOL (hopefully sooner, maybe 5 years) hehe.

After calming all my kiddos down, well actually after my husband calmed all my kiddos down, I decided I would look up houses on the computer. Not because we are planning on moving but because I needed a fireplace fix. Yep- I needed to look at nice fireplaces in old (1950s) houses. My house is contemporary design with a fake, FAKE, firepleace ;(
I have always wanted a brick fireplace with a hearth and a mantel. It just wasnt in the cards for us when we were house hunting and the perfect location just wasnt the perfect house- but it fit at that time. After a day like today, I was just wishing that I had a cup of coffee and could sit and relax on a comfy rug in front of a real fireplace. That would so be a wonderful way to destress. Oh, and when the kids are in bed it would be wonderful for some mommy and daddy time! I swear it would be like a vacation escape for me. That is just how much I love fireplaces!

Wish I may, wish I might, I hope to have this wish one night! ;)

A boy after my own heart

I love my little guy. Today he didn't gave school so he got to come with mommy to the pumpkin patch where the girls had their FIRST field trip. When we got home I started cleaning and cooking supper. I was complaining about my dirty rug and he right away went and got the vacuum cleaner. So as any good mom would do, I let him vacuum ;) (does this make me a bad mother??). He LOVED it. Ha Can you tell how hard this boy is working! It just CRACKS me up! He is sooo serious. No, he is a perfectionist just like his father (oh my).

Watching him was hilarious, he moved furniture and toys out of the way just like I do!
If this doesn't prove that our children watch our every move then I don't know what does! It was so darn cute!

Literacy day at my girls school was a success and the pumpkin patch was a blast for them. They especially loved getting to pick out a pumpkin to bring home. It was wonderful to hear that Nancy Drew and Pippi had a fun Friday.
Mommy got to have a fun Friday too with little Caroline. After the pumpkin patch we got to visit with some friends over coffee. Two of these friends just had babies as well, both girls. Caroline and the two other beauty's are only 4-6 weeks apart. Nothing spells happiness as much as hearing 3 cuties squilling and grunting with contentment. I wish I could be as relaxed as these baby's were today!

Oh, and before I go, here is a picture of my girls doing their "thing on the runway". I will update tomorrow on what this is all about --mom will be dead by the time tomorrow is over for sure. Working with these girls is TOUGH. Takes tons of bribery to get them to SHOW OFF!!! LOL

Wish them luck tomorrow! and pray for me!! hehe

Last minute surprises

I was excited to share some special news with my daughters when they got out of school. I took them to a store after school to try and some outfits (more on what this is for later). Anyway, we had major meltdown city over outfits. That's the thing about twins, they both either want the e a t same thing or they are completely opposite and you never know what your gonna get because they are subject to change at any given notice.

On the way home I find out that TOMORROW they are having a literacy day and must dress-up as a storybook character. What??? I have like 2 hours to figure out who they are going to be and what am I going to use for the costumes! Where was this memo!! I'm sure it was sent home but most of the time they come in, tear out papers like a mad women and spur them a Ross the floor and I don't know what's trash and what's not after that!

Ok, I knew at this point I needed to think up something fast because it's 6:00 and so far I have no idea what character to suggest except Cinderella and snow white and you know every little girl just about will probably be Cinderella.

So, after MUCH debate and tons of costume rummaging, I think they have winners. Yay!
Well, the moment of made up minds and happiness Didn't last long. Yep, we entered meltdown city for the 2nd time today(or 3rd or 4th-lol). They aren't liking these costumes anymore and Mom has to figure out another plan that doesn't involve something itchy!

Long story long, and with MY lovely mothers help, we have 2 wonderful storybook characters ready to take on literacy day- Nancy Drew and Pippi Longstocking. Posted a pic of my little cuties in their "role" below!!
Thank you Lord!!! Can't wait to Hear what mysteries Isabelle solved (AMA Nancy drew) and what adventures Scarlett (Aka Pippi) went on. ;)

Hoping my costume tomorrow is SUPERMOM, because I am a gonna need it!

Over and out, g'nite!

Where's my cup of sanity!

I was beyond ecstatic when I found out that I was pregnant and having twins almost 6 years ago. I prayed and prayed as a child to one day have twins. I seriously never believed God would actually grant that wish! Boy does God have humor!!!
I love my girls to pieces, and my additional 2 blessings that have come along. My son who is 3 and my newest addition Caroline, 3 months old today.
I wish I could tell you that I am here just for all you moms to give you tips and advice, but I can't always, I myself am always in search of advice.
However, thru trial and error, and a 4th (unexpected) child, I have found some advice helpful and am willing to pass on my knowledge if wanted. Just ask me! I have plenty of tips on twins and would have loved for someone to have helped me as a young mom of multiples, so if you have multiples and need advice I will try my best to help you and tell you what has worked/not worked for us. Please feel free to share your advice for us as well!

Every day I learn something different about my children. They are 4 sweet blessings that God has given to my husband and I. I look at them sleeping frequently and think "how can this sweet, tender being be so darn challenging!!!"
If your a mom, I KNOW you have thought this before!
I remind myself daily that part of being a mother is taking the good with the bad. I should not really use the word bad because I am a firm believer that children aren't "bad", they are just learning what is and isn't unacceptable. It's the times that they test me on what they know is a "no no" that I just lose it! You still with me???

I am always looking for better ways on giving positive reinforcement for the good deeds (without making the others jealous) and tips on tackling the negative behavior. Its a long road!

I will be bragging about motherhood and my life with 4 but I will probably equally vent about motherhood as well, because I just need a place to vent and someone (thats you) to vent to! I think as a mother you will to find it humorous to read about my crazy mishaps as a mother (no your not alone).
I love life, I love my family, but by the time the day is over I can't help but ask myself,
"Where is my cup of sanity!"
